Eligibility

Applicant must be a current student or alumnus of a university which concluded an “Inter-University Exchange Agreement” and a “Memorandum of Understanding on Student Exchange” with Hokkaido University. Students who are already enrolled at Hokkaido University cannot apply for this scholarship. Applicants must be self-supporting and without other scholarships or fellowships at the time of enrollment.

Conservation Medicine is a new academic field that contributes to solving and preventing health problems due to environmental changes caused by human activities, and the associated infectious diseases and environmental pollutants. Based on the concept of “One Health”, which considers health not only of humans, but also of animals, ecosystems, and society, we will provide international education in conservation medicine in collaboration with the University of Zambia.

The Overseas Training to Develop a Global Mindset offers opportunities for educational exchanges with five overseas partner veterinary colleges.
Under the International Vet Exchange Program (IVEP), the scope of the educational exchanges with overseas veterinary colleges is expanded to promote the internationalization of undergraduate education and help students develop a global mindset, broad perspective and generic skills.
Through student and faculty exchanges with four partner veterinary colleges, the IVEP aims to internationalize undergraduate education and nurture veterinarians who can play active roles on the global stage.
