Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) visited Kyoto University (March 3, 2023)

On March 3, 2023, Dr. Samson Muuo Nzou and Ms. Shalon Njue Gatwiri, a Grant Manager from the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), with Dr. Raita Tamaki, JICA Project Specialist (Associate Professor, Institute of Tropical Medicine, Nagasaki University), and Ms. Mizukami, JICA Training Coordinator, paid a courtesy visit to the Center for African Area Studies, Kyoto University. From Kyoto University, Director Takahashi, who is the representative of the IAfP office, Associate Professor Harada of the Graduate School of Asian and African Area Studies (ASAFAS), Specially Appointed Lecturer Wakamatsu of ASAFAS, Drs. Aihara and Jung ASAFAS research fellows attended. Discussions in the meeting focused on plans to expand cooperation between KEMRI and Kyoto University, and extend collaboration between KEMRI and Japanese universities to build a platform for the inter-university exchange projects.
